Glyn has lived on Foreman Way, Crowland, since 2001. Before becoming a teacher in 1987 he worked in the thermal insulation industry. Initially he taught at a college, school and then an academy in Peterborough and is now currently Head of Business Studies at Spalding Grammar School. He has worked in education for over 24 years and obtained an MA in Education from the Open University.
In 2010, Glyn was elected as a co-opted member of Crowland Parish Council and is extremely active in
the council's affairs and in support of local residents.
"It is extremely satisfying to be in a position to be able to assist residents with local issues" Glyn has also recently been elected chair of a new group called "Education4Crowland"
which has been formed in Crowland to fight for the continuation of secondary education in the town.
"Education4Crowland" is the result of a number of public meetings and is made up from members of the community, District Council, Parish Council and the Save St Guthlac's campaign.
"I hold incredibly strong feelings about retaining secondary education in the town and I am proud to have been elected chair of "Education4Crowland", which will help to promote stronger opposition to the loss of secondary education within Crowland.
